Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month:
Celebrating Decades of Pride, Partnerships and
Progress
May is Asian-Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month—a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. The purpose is to honor the achievements of Asian/Pacific Americans and to recognize the many ways they have enriched and shaped the character of the United States through their diverse languages, cultures, and religious beliefs. To accompany the exhibit on the first floor of McCain library, we have compiled a companion bibliography consisting of books, journal articles and websites highlighting their progress and achievements.
