Dabney Adams Hart '48
Distinguished Visiting Humanities Professor and
C.S. Lewis expert speaks on "The influence of C.S. Lewis" on
November 15, 2005.
A new humanities program has been established at Agnes Scott College
to honor Dabney Adams Hart, a 1948 graduate and C.S.
Lewis expert. Hart will be the first lecturer in the Dabney Adams
Hart Distinguished Visiting Humanities Professorship program.
On November 15 2005, Hart, author of Through an open door:
a new look at C.S. Lewis, will discuss the significant impact
of C.S. Lewis's works in the inaugural lecture of the Dabney Adams Hart
Distinguished Lecture Series. Hart's lecture is scheduled a few weeks
before the worldwide release of the movie 'The Chronicles
of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,' based
on Lewis’ book series.
