Beatriz Rivera-Barnes ---- Selected Bibliography

(Downloaded from http://www.agnesscott.edu/about/p_eventdetail.asp?id=799 2/28/07)
As part of the Spring 2007 Writers' Festival, there will be a public reading by the acclaimed fiction writer Beatriz Rivera-Barnes. Writing with an eye for quirky, offbeat detail and an ear attuned to the vernacular of the everyday, Rivera-Barnes seeks to shed light on such themes as geographic and emotional exile, domestic conflict, and community in her works. She also examines the lives, loves, and journeys of young, urban Cuban Americans in her heartbreakingly comic novels. Currently, she teaches at Penn State University Worthington Scranton in Dunmore, Pennsylvania.
In conjunction with the public reading, we have compiled a bibliography of selected resources by and about the writer
