2005-2006 Ethics Lecture Series: Ethics at the End of Life
As part of Spring Semester Events of
the Ethics Program at Agnes Scott College, On January 31,
a group of panelists will be taking a deeper look at the values, concepts,
background, and implications of the debate over Terri Schiavo’s
life-sustaining medical treatment and its termination in "The
Life and Death of Terry Schaivo: Scientific, Religious and Ethical Perspectives.
Another group of panelists on "Interfaith Panel
on End-of-Life Medical Decisions" will on February
7, address end-of-life care issues, highlighting the concerns,
principles, conflicts, and views dominant within their religious traditions.
We have compiled a selected bibliography consisting of books, journal
articles and other resources on scientific, ethical, medical and religious
perspectives on ethics at the end of life.
